A NEW GRANT PROGRAM TO SUPPORT CAPACITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES OF ORANGE COUNTY NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

Investing to make an impact!

(Irvine, CA) – The Irvine Health Foundation’s 2013 Impact Fund continues a unique and responsive tradition of grant-making at the 28 year old organization. This year, the Foundation is launching a new Impact Fund, a grant program designed to support capacity building activities and planning needs of nonprofit organizations seeking to support the health and well-being of residents of Orange County, California. Awardees will receive both funding and technical support that will further leverage the cash award and help ensure that the project is successful and sustainable long-term. The 2013 grant cycle will seek to invest in capacity building projects related to: Information Technology, Finance, Governance and Operations, and Marketing and Evaluation.

The Impact Fund is designed for organizations seeking to build their own internal capacity and capabilities and significantly enhance their ability to serve clients or address community issues. The results of the capacity investment should be a measurable improvement of organizational effectiveness or program quality.

The grant cycle will open February 1, 2013. Applications are due March 31, 2013. A maximum grant award is set at $50,000. The application process is online at www.ihf.org.
